DELIGHT YOUR SENSES WITH AN AUTHENTIC 4X4 PREPARATION IN YOUR TOUAREG
At CSA4X4, every modification is designed to optimise the vehicle's performance and capability in all types of terrain. This time, we have made a series of key improvements to wheels, suspension, lighting and bodywork, designed to offer greater stability, grip and functionality in extreme conditions.
MODIFICATIONS CARRIED OUT ON THE TOUAREG 4X4
To reinforce the vehicle's protection and give it a more aggressive look, we have installed Proland branded fibre side sills on both axles, accompanied by rigid rubber overwings. This modification not only extends the wheel coverage to avoid mud and stone projections, but also provides extra resistance to side impacts in difficult terrain.
Visibility is critical on off-road routes, so we've incorporated two long-range headlights on the front bumper, with 01HR PL E9 22204 / E9 10R-05.16462 approval and an intensity of 30 points of light.
These headlamps are configured to switch with the vehicle's original headlamps, ensuring that no more than two full-beam headlamps are switched on simultaneously and keeping the illumination within the approved limits. The result is a powerful, well-distributed beam of light that improves visibility in low-light conditions without dazzling other drivers.
The original suspension system has been replaced with a high performance kit from Proland. This includes Dakar Trail height-adjustable separate bottle shock absorbers, together with reinforced springs reference SOC127878600 on the front axle and SOC147878300 on the rear axle.
This improvement allows the vehicle's ride height to be adjusted according to the needs of the terrain, ensuring longer suspension travel, better shock absorption and more stable handling in extreme conditions. With this configuration, the vehicle achieves a perfect balance between comfort and off-road capability.
To improve traction and stability, we have installed 20 mm thick metal wheel spacers on the rear axle, branded SFSport. This modification allows the track width to be widened, improving the vehicle's footprint and offering greater control on uneven terrain.
In addition, we replaced the original tyres with a new homologated set of 265/60R18 119/116Q M+S POR tyres, mounted on 8.5×18" rims. With this change, we achieve better grip on slippery surfaces, greater impact resistance and safer driving both on and off-road.

How have we transformed this SUV into an off-roader?
The Volkswagen Touareg is an SUV with off-road DNA, but with the right preparation, it can become a true exploration machine. In our workshop, we've optimised its performance in difficult terrain with upgrades to its wheels, suspension, bodywork and equipment, elevating its adventure capabilities.
KEY IMPROVEMENTS CARRIED OUT IN THE PREPARATION OF THE TOUAREG
To complement the Touareg's aggressive transformation, we have added PROLAND front and rear bumpers. These not only reinforce the vehicle's adventurous aesthetics, but also play a key role in protecting the bodywork from mud, stones and dirt projected by the tyres, especially with the optimised track width.
One of the key changes in this preparation has been the installation of PROLAND® brand suspension cupelswith a thickness of 60 mm. This improvement raises the height of the vehicle, allowing a better angle of attack and departure at obstacles.
To improve off-road performance, we've replaced the front and rear wheels with a new set of 8×18" wheels, an ideal size for combining strength and aesthetics without compromising handling.
We complement this upgrade with 265/60 R18 119/116Q M+S POR tyres, approved for optimum performance in mud and snow. This configuration not only provides greater ground clearance, but also improves traction and resistance on difficult surfaces, allowing the Touareg to handle rough terrain with greater confidence.
As a finishing touch to this preparation, we have installed a SPLIT trailer hitch, with a robust vertical load capacity. This upgrade expands the vehicle's usability, allowing trailers, caravans or additional equipment to be towed safely and within homologation standards.

PREPARATIONS DESIGNED FOR VERSATILE USE
Not all modifications require radical transformations. On this Volkswagen Touareg, we have made a series of subtle but effective adjustments, improving its ground clearance and optimising its ability to tackle rough terrain while maintaining comfort and stability on the road.
A PREPARATION THAT ADDS HEIGHT AND PRESENCE WITHOUT COMPROMISING ON COMFORT
To optimise ride height without compromising ride comfort, Proland suspension lift shims, subframe, shock absorbers and groups have been fitted. Thanks to this modification, the Touareg achieves an overall height of 1745 mm in the road-going position, improving its ability to negotiate obstacles without compromising stability and safety on the road.
The original set of tyres has been replaced with new ones approved for better performance on mixed surfaces. These have been mounted on 8.5×18" rims, maintaining a perfect fit with no mechanical interference and guaranteeing a track width of 1640 mm on both axles.
This configuration provides a firmer and more confident ride, improving grip without compromising the vehicle's dynamic behaviour on and off-road.
