The preparation of the Porsche 924 for off-road use is a unique exercise that demonstrates its ability to adapt to off-road challenges, even though it was not originally designed for this purpose. Proland steel front shock absorbers have been fitted, increasing the strength of the suspension system. On the rear axle, the original shock absorbers have been replaced by Proland Dakar models with separate Piggy Back type cylinders, providing greater shock absorption capacity and performance on rough terrain. In addition, the rear torsion bars have been adjusted, leaving the vehicle with an overall ride height of 1290 mm, improving ground clearance for negotiating obstacles.

The vehicle's lighting has been significantly improved with the addition of a steel headlamp bracket on the original bumper. Two fog lamps, ideal for low visibility conditions, and two long-range headlamps, each with an intensity of 25 light points, have been installed on this bracket. These settings keep the total number of light points within the legal limit of 100%, ensuring excellent visibility on all types of terrain.

To enhance the Porsche 924's protection and adaptability, Proland duraluminium underbody protection has been fitted to the front and rear end, safeguarding vulnerable components from impact. The front number plate has been replaced by a smaller, homologated version, located in the centre of the bumper, improving its integration for off-road use. In addition, four CSA-branded plastic material wheel arches have been added to the wheel arches, extending the body width at the front and rear axles, providing greater stability.

The original steering wheel has been replaced by a sporty MOMO model with a diameter of 350 mm, improving control and ergonomics while driving. This change also brings a more aggressive and functional look to the cabin, in line with the off-road focus of this preparation.

With these modifications, the Porsche 924 has been transformed into a unique vehicle capable of tackling off-road routes, combining its classic design with enhanced capabilities in terms of strength, functionality and safety in demanding terrain.

The running gear of the Porsche 924 has been modified to suit off-road terrain, replacing the original tyres with approved models designed to maximise grip and durability on difficult surfaces. These tyres have been mounted on the original wheels, ensuring compatibility with the vehicle's design without interfering with any mechanical components. In addition, wheel spacers have been incorporated, increasing the track width. both at the front and at the rearThe new tyres are designed to improve stability and control on uneven terrain.
