HOW DO WE PREPARE THE TOYOTA HDJ 200 4x4?

Toyota prepared HDJ200

Installation of LED high beam headlamps in the new front bumper connected to the vehicle's original headlamps, which almost doubles the light output of the vehicle.

Plus, LED fog lights to improve clarity of vision on cloudy or rainy days.

We have replaced the original suspension, the long-travel shock absorbers by Pro Fender Dakar 2.0″, ideal for extreme 4×4 enthusiasts. Complemented with springs and a torsion bar. To reinforce the wading in the abrupt passages by curve.

Fitting of ABS disconnector from inside the cab for safe braking in muddy, snowy, icy terrain, etc.

To begin with, a front bumper of our own manufacture has been installed, providing greater strength, safety and angles of attack for the vehicle with less overall weight. In addition, it also has a built-in winch bed and winch mouth and housing for the auxiliary fog and high beam lights.

Next, a front winch has been integrated into the new front bumper.

At the same time, the front, central and rear underbody protectors have been modified and reinforced with duraluminium to prevent any obstacle on the road from damaging any element of the engine transmission, gearbox, ...

Fibreglass bullets have been added to extend the width of the doors, and a checker plate has also been fitted to protect the lower parts of the doors.

Finally, we have made custom bumpers to increase the departure angles of the vehicle. And a detachable tow ball mount has been made.

Aesthetics aren't everything, but you'll agree that the Mickey rims are a real eye-catcher. And to ensure the control of the HDJ 100 we've dressed these rims with a specialised off-road tyre...,

Preparation of a Toyota HDJ 200 to improve ride height, control, and 4x4 capability

designed to take the HDJ 200 a step further

This Toyota HDJ 200 preparation is designed to transform the vehicle's behaviour on demanding routes, improving suspension response, reinforcing the front end, and equipping it with a more effective base for off-road driving. The work focuses on four main areas: Lighting, suspension, bodywork y wheelset, seeking a more robust, more capable HDJ 200, better prepared to tackle rough terrain, long journeys, and technical areas.

This is how we developed this preparation for the Toyota HDJ 200

Toyota HDJ 200 front suspension with Dakar Extreme shock absorbers and reinforced components

The lighting section has been strengthened with the incorporation of LED headlights y long-range headlamps, an improvement aimed at gaining real visibility when the terrain requires driving at night, on open tracks or in areas with few landmarks.

With this configuration, the Toyota HDJ 200 offers broader and more useful lighting for 4x4 driving, allowing for anticipation of obstacles, better reading of the terrain, and safer travel in low-light conditions.

The majority of this preparation falls on the suspension, where a setup designed for greater load-bearing capacity, improved off-road performance, and geometry correction after lifting has been developed. They have been fitted Dakar Extreme Forwards, Dakar Extreme rears, Rear springs, 2” Bump Stop with bracket kit, Reinforced upper front wishbone, Front and rear anti-roll bar stabilizer kit, Rear Panhard rod correction kit, Hard shock absorber protector kit y front stabiliser chock.

The result is an HDJ 200 with a more stable tyre print, better articulation and suspension prepared to work more safely when the terrain gets tough. This part of the preparation not only improves comfort and absorption, but also provides mechanical reliability and control over bumps, potholes and slow obstacles.

The front area has been updated with a front bumper and one King One winch, two key elements in a preparation focused on real field use. The new front end improves the vehicle's functionality and adds an essential resource for rescue or self-extraction manoeuvres.

This part of the preparation gives the Toyota HDJ 200 a more rugged image and, above all, increased operational capability on routes where it may be necessary to tow the vehicle, overcome an obstacle, or work with more protection at the front.

The wheel set has been completed with tyres specific for 4x4 use and 18-inch wheels, a combination designed to improve traction, durability, and performance on varied terrain.

Thanks to this change, the HDJ 200 becomes more effective on tracks, stone, dirt and broken ground, in addition to correctly complementing the new suspension setup so that the vehicle works more balanced and cohesively off-road.
